Ah, the Dark Continent!  Collecting coins from Africa includes a range of possibilities.  Collecting African coins may include the Greek , Roman and Mediterranean coinage that circulated in Northern Africa, to the more modern coinage of the European-African colonies and the various independent states and countries that have evolved throughout the continenent.
